After nine years of practice, the sobering reality of the inadequacies of the current pharmaceutical-based medical model set in.  This realization fueled the quest for a more functional and holistic approach to health. Shifting the focus away from disease and moving towards prevention and wellness has been her primary goal with her clients.  Starting from the basics with nutrition and healthy living to awareness of potential environmental toxins and how it affects the body, her personal quest is to empower her clients through education and equipping them with tools to make positive and sustainable life changes.

Dr. Kim is a graduate of Loma Linda University and completed her residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center, an affiliate program of The Medical College of Virginia/VCU.  Her interests in cosmetic dermatology came about from her own dermatologic issues with cystic acne and finding non-traditional, holistic ways to overcome this serious skin condition. 

Dr. Kim has extensive experience with laser hair removal using LightSheer Diode & Laxity Vector, vascular treatment via VascuLight, collagen enchancement using WrinkeLight, IPL Quantum SR for photorejuvenation, BluLight and Levulan for acne, as well as injectable facial fillers such as Restylane, Radiesse & Collegen as well as Botox injections.  

She will be performing dermal fillers that are only NATURAL based such as Hylaform at Derma Hair Care LLC. In addition, she will be offering Nutrition Response Testing, which involves using a patient’s body reflexes or automatic nervous system response with kinesiology, a practice of muscle testing, to get information about the body’s unique nutritional requirements.
