REBEKAH KELLEY'S   B I O
*CERTIFIED HOLISTIC HEALTH COUNSELOR

I have a lot to thank my Mom for; she raised me on a holistic diet, full of unprocessed goat milk, organic fruits and vegetables from our own garden, and fresh clean H2O. Candy, sodas and junk food were not allowed. And our splurge was an ice cream -- a bi-weekly treat after church on Sundays. It wasn’t until I became an adult and started looking around at the state of the health of my fellow American’s that I started appreciating and supporting what I was taught as a child.

As a professional woman of, 39 years of age, (and luckily many guess my age at a decade or more below that!), I believe in living a physically active and socially demanding, full life. Life is blessed with expected and unexpected hurdles, and balance can be a challenging state to acquire. I have worked for Fortune 25 companies as a department head, so I know the demands of the corporate world, and I know it is tough to find balance, but just like you would go to a trainer to get in physical shape, you need a counselor to help you develop a habit and learning around holistic nutrition.

I am a graduate from Columbia University’s Teachers College and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition as a Health Counselor (CHHC) certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP). The Institute for Integrative Nutrition is the only school in the world teaching all the different dietary theories. Everything from the traditional to the scientific; from the east to the west; from the ancient traditions of macrobiotics, ayurveda and Chinese medicine to modern dietary theories like the USDA Healthy Eating Pyramid, the Zone, and The South Beach Diet. But most importantly it is about listening to the intelligence within the body, given the right foods and nutrition, the body will heal itself. The program focuses on how to feed your body intuitively in order to positively affect mood, energy level and overall sense of well-being. It truly is a program that believes and respects the bio-individuality of every person.

I lived and prepared meals in the organic kitchen of Esalen, a holistic center in Big Sur. Understanding the important of quality ingredients, and positive intention, I have developed menus for busy professionals, consulted in a holistic apothecary, and studied under some of the best teachers/professionals in their field, and I find that the most effective strategy is to listen to your body, give it the nutrition (and care) it needs, and it has this amazing capacity to balance and heal itself.

I invite you to a free initial consultation to discuss your health history, your concerns and goals, as well as what you have always imagined for your life. This free, one-hour session is a great way for you to get a feel for how I work with clients, and to see if we are a good match. Please email me at Rebekah_Kelley@msn.com or call me at 202-957-4965.

NATTASHA HESSAMFAR'S   B I O
*RECEPTIONIST

I am currently a student at University of Maryland, studying Communications.I have always tried to eat pretty healthy. Growing up my friends would laugh because instead of eating candy like the other kids I would always eat an apple thinking to myself that I want to keep my both free from junk and my skin looking healthy.I guess my mom did a good job in always telling me that I should have more fruits than sweets. As a receptionist at Derma Hair Care I have learned much more information about ingredients, what is good for us and what we should stay away from. I feel that I pay more attention to ingredients and take a second look before I purchase anything. Feel free to call us and I will answer any questions that you may have.

ERIN SMITH'S   B I O
*RECEPTIONIST

I am currently attending George Mason University working towards my bachelor degree in Government and International Politics and a certificate in Global Affairs.  My main goal is to promote education and work with countries to develop in a way that will not damage the environment.  Beauty starts from the inside out and I have always tried to make a conscious effort to put the best things into my body, but am learning there is a lot more to attaining health than fruits and vegetables. I am excited to able to be a part of advancing a healthy way to look and feel beautiful.

DALIN OP 'S   B I O
*RECEPTIONIST

Dalin is a recent grad from the University of Maryland with an undergraduate degree in Economics.  She is currently working full time as a Marketing Coordinator for a local bank. While attending the University of Maryland, Dalin took several courses in nutrition that opened her eyes to the importance of proper dietary care that enables the body to function optimally. She became a health nut thereafter. Although she knew how to care for her body internally, she needed help externally. This is one of the main reasons why she joined the Derma Family. Derma presented the knowledge and the resources that allowed her to care for her body from the inside out. With the knowledge that she has gained, she hopes to help others redefine beauty and health by understanding the affects of what they put into and on their bodies.
